National goals first
Cabinet approved formulation of a National Space Policy intended to coordinate national activities, international cooperation and compliance with obligations, treaties and standards.
The Sri Lanka Space Administration program is the machinery behind a national civil space program: mission selection, budgets, grants, procurement, public data, international cooperation and mission support. The goal is not a bigger bureaucracy. The goal is a clear path from national priorities to measurable public outcomes.
NASA’s current organization is one useful analogy: mission directorates carry mission portfolios while a Mission Support Directorate supplies the people, assets, financial resources and other services needed to execute them. This program adapts that management logic to Sri Lanka at a much smaller scale.

ACCIMT’s Space Applications Division identifies the institute as Sri Lanka’s National Focal Point for Space Technology Applications since 1994.
Future missions should compete against national priorities, user needs, technical maturity, lifecycle cost and measurable benefits instead of existing as disconnected projects.
A credible institution should publish strategies, mission status, procurement pathways, grant calls, data catalogs and performance reporting wherever security and law permit.
This is where the “Administration” name earns its keep. Choose a function.
Illustrative organizational model only.
The administration turns broad national policy into a governed delivery pipeline.
Start with a measurable problem: disaster response, agriculture, communications, science, workforce or industrial capability.
Define the user, desired outcome, technical approach, partners, cost range, maturity and alternative non-space solutions.
Compare the program against policy priorities, affordability, risk, capability-building value and expected public benefit.
Choose whether the work should be built internally, competed to industry, partnered internationally, funded through grants or bought as a service.
Apply stage-gates, technical reviews, schedule/cost control, cyber/data standards, partner governance and public reporting.
Publish whether the mission delivered the data, service, science, workforce or industry outcome it was funded to achieve.
A strong public administration does not make people guess which department owns their question. This program router shows where an inquiry could go. It is not a real government submission system.
These are the public surfaces a credible OFFICIAL organization should maintain.
Objectives, stage, schedule, partners, budget bands, outputs and current status for approved programs.
SEE MODEL →Forecasts, notices, research calls, fellowships, supplier guidance, challenges and award transparency.
ROUTE AN INQUIRY →Earth-data products, mission archives, metadata, licensing, service status and machine-readable access where appropriate.
DATA DIRECTORATE →Strategy, annual plans, financial reports, audits, performance measures and public records according to applicable law.
program STATUS →The Sri Lankan National Space Agency program is the public-facing mission flagship. This Space Administration program is the executive-management and mission-support machinery: budgets, grants, contracts, portfolio reviews, data policy and partnerships.
A OFFICIAL program-management organization can procure services and manage national missions, while licensing, authorization, spectrum, safety and other regulatory powers should sit wherever Sri Lankan law ultimately assigns them. This program does not invent those legal authorities.
The site identifies itself as the official website of SRI LANKA SPACE ADMINISTRATION.
Sri Lanka-inspired identity is original artwork rather than a copy of the flag, national emblem or an official agency seal.
Where stars appear, the Southern Cross / Crux is present as the project’s recurring constellation motif.
No fake administrator, budget, headquarters, grants, procurement notices, missions, contracts, licensing or statutory powers are presented as real.
Build a small, transparent operating system for missions, money, talent, data, industry and international cooperation.
